My edge project was to help create an android game demo. I worked with another illustration major, Grayson Ekman, and a computer science major, Nick Rossi. I helped in the visual development of the project by designing the character of the game. My job includes creating character sketches, color schemes, and translating my final design of the character into pixel form. I also did a little bit of animation, so that Nick could make the character move in the game. Grayson had the opportunity to design the environment of the game. He did the thumbnails, sketches for props, and color choices for the environment to create the unique look of the game. Nick worked on the technical side of the game by working with coding and game software to bring all the art work together.
The main goal of this project is to create a playable demo of an Android game application that can be used for our portfolios. The goal is not to make a finished product but to create a shorter, more polished demo that will portray our abilities in a condensed format to future employers. Our Android application will be a short playable demo that showcases the gameplay, art, and programming of our group.

The deliverable for this project will be a screen capture of a playthrough through our Android game application demo. It will also include a PowerPoint with screen shots documenting the process throughout our development including: screenshots of code, design documents, concept art and design, and the progression of the application output.
